The death of Stoick the Vast shook Berk and its allies to the core, but life goes on and spreads and flourishes, under the eyes of their new chief, Berk looks more and more into the skies around it and the people and places that lay just beyond the horizon, where the sky meets the sea. The influence of the Dragonriders is spreading to shores untouched by their wing and claw, and more seem to be expanding because of it. With new villages cropping up on islands previously empty, and new riders coming in from far off on the distant vantage point, there is no telling where tomorrow's road will turn, what the future will hold.
But wild dragons are still wild dragons, and it is still a struggle to keep the peace between two species that are every bit as stubborn and wild as the other. The Dragonriders of Berk do their part to keep that trembling peace, but with so few in numbers, the effort is shaky at best, and with more approaching on the horizon, everyone must keep a vigilant eye to watch for the first spark of war, or risk a blaze of battle that would leave blood in its wake.
