The Heart of the Island, one a fairly small fishing village, Berk has grown into a vast stretch, the main section of the village, the center ring, is where most of the villagers make their home, with the outer rings being delegated to visitors and dragon riders from far and wide. |

The Dragon Hangar in recent years has become a marvel of construction shining against the cliff side of the island. The structure is now a fortified wonder that can house triple the dragons it could before, made comfortable for dragons of every class and species. |

With the ushering in of Hiccup as chief of the Hooligans, the Academy has become Berk's most prominent feature, expanded and outfitted with ingenious designs, it has become a place where not only do Berk's dragons come with their riders to train, but dragon riders from elsewhere seek out the chief's skilled know-how. |

Badmist Mountain has become the hub of the Dragon Races that Berk holds almost daily, and through the hard work of the village, the area has been outfitted for the sport. The races that were once a competition between the six original riders has recently opened up to the entire village, and visitors as well. |

A pair of steep forest mountain tops, Raven Point is dominated by towering pine trees. Its ridges are sparsely littered with mossy boulders and covered entirely little ferns on the forest floor. |

Located at the southern tip of Berk, Black Heart Bay is a shoreline surrounded by cliffs and numerous smaller isles and sea stacks. The shore is connected to mainland Berk via a chasm between two cliffs. On land, however, Black Heart Bay resembles a sand dune. It is covered mostly by orange sand, which form gigantic arcs and ridges. In the middle of one of the larger islands is a large waterfall, surrounded by lush pine forests. |

Named after the Horrendous Haddocks, this is one of the tallest peaks on all of Berk. Recently, driven by an urge to have a better vantage point for whatever was coming from any direction, the chief moved his home to an impressive structure suspended against the side of the peak, accessible only on dragon back. |
