### words for @tag "Gustav" - "Fanghook" Remember that your gifts are your gain The village needed this more than it had ever needed anything else, everyone had been so stressed out and unhappy, the chief included, and he'd never been the sort of person to just sit back and let that be. No one else had seemed interested in decorating for Snoggletog, which he supposed he understood, Stoick's death had shaken the village and they were still reeling. They wanted Hiccup to make the call, but his holiday spirit had taken a blow as well...Which left Gustav to do the job.
Which wasn't easy, given he was tragically small and not entirely the most artistically inclined, but trying was better than not trying and that was a motto he intended to stick by.
His tongue was stuck out in concentration as he stood precariously on as many barrels as he could manage to balance, Fanghook was elsewhere doing his part to help, which left the very small viking to make himself a little less small. He was at the present trying to string lanterns, huffing softly as he stood on his tip toes to try and reach the post that he was presently attempting to get to, "no one else is gonna do this, once again left to the Guster to pick up the slack..." He laughed as he pushed himself just a little farther over the edge, realizing too late that that was just a bit TOO far.
He let out a distressed yelp and grabbed onto the post, hanging on for dear life as the tower of barrels toppled to the ground with a terribly loud rukus, "whoops..."

The ruckus had not gone unnoticed. Adelaide had been making her way through the village back towards the Jorgenson hut where she could make sure she had collected enough herbs for the coming winter. Despite the diminished morale and depressing air around Berk recently, Adelaide knew she had a job to accomplish as a healer-in-training and she wasn't about to ignore her duties because everyone, especially their chief, was down in the dumps and reeling from everything that was going on starting with Stoick's loss. Of course, her walk through was interrupted when she heard the sound of the barrels toppling over, causing her and Seaspray to stop in their tracks and peer around one of the houses.
Hanging from a post was her best friend, and once more trying to do something alone rather than asking for help. "Honestly Gustav." She sighed in exasperation, but smiling a little as she came over with the pink Tide glider, resting her hands on her hips as she shook her head. "What are we going to do with you?" The red haired Viking gestured for Seaspray to give their friend some help, the Tide glider sniffing softly as she stepped forward and ducked her head beneath Gustav, giving him some relief from having to cling to dear life. Luckily, Seaspray was roughly as big as Fanghook in length and size but was more fitting for the ocean, allowing the small human to release his grip before she lowered her head to set him down.
While her dragon companion was helping Gustav, Adelaide took the time to set aside her bag that often held her herbs and other things before turning back to them. Her eyes observed where he had been decorating for Snoggletog, a holiday many looked forward to and celebrated with glee and full of festive spirit. If Gustav hadn't been attempting to decorate she, like others of Berk, probably would have forgotten. "You know, you could have always asked for some help." Adelaide remarked, approaching the two to come stand in front of Gustav. "But you never fail to try, I'll give you that Gustav."

### words for @tag "Gustav" - "Fanghook" Remember that your gifts are your gain He was fairly keen to just try and drop from the post and hope for the best, but of course sometimes luck did gander his way, he sent an unconcerned, beaming smile down at the two when they called up to him, "Heeeey Adelaide!" He was careful not to lose his grip as he waved to her and the dragon beside her, "do with me? Well I'd make an excellent paperweight!"
He snorted softly, carefully lowering himself down to Seaspray's head when she arched her neck to help him, "thanks, I wasn't quite ready to break my ankles yet..." He looked relieved when he was finally safely on the ground, brushing himself off and letting out a heavy sigh, "I guess I bit off more than I can chew...As usual..." He chuckled softly, only looking mildly embarrassed.
He sighed and glanced around, "someone had to..." He turned his eyes to her and chuckled, "I know you're busy a lot, I didn't want to take you from your own duties..." He shuffled a little and glanced to the side, "Henry and everyone else has been so gloomy...And like I get it....So I figured I'd try..." His shoulder's sagged just a little and he frowned, "I thought maybe if people spotted me doing it they'd join in..." He glanced around the village and frowned, "I guess even if they don't...Well someone has to!" He sounded fairly defiant, clearly not put off, "things have gone wrong...But that's no reason not to celebrate what's gone right, right?"

Adelaide just looked at her friend for the longest moment. She could see this gloomy atmosphere was clearly causing a lot of suffering and many didn't know what to do to bring back the happy spirit to Berk once more. It was those like Gustav who had tried and were slowly cracking under the gloominess, but Gustav was not one of those people. He was always positive, full of energy, and trying to do the right thing, to make everything better again. No matter the circumstances or what people thought of him, he never ceased to allow something to get him down for too long. It was something the red haired teenager found admirable with Gustav and could see that was certainly why he could, with time, become a good leader for the Aux riders.
"I haven't quite been as busy as I once was, not compared to summer or spring Gustav." Without warning though, Adelaide hugged Gustav tightly, knowing there was so much going on and he was trying. He was trying harder than most lately. "And what you're trying to do Gustav...I think people would appreciate it more than you might know if they actually opened their eyes." Adelaide glanced towards the snow covered village, a sad smile coming to her expression. "But hope seems hard to come by anymore." The more she thought about it the more Adelaide really was beginning to notice how few were really happy anymore, and for someone such as Henry, of all the Aux riders, to be down that didn't exactly settle right with Adelaide.
But with how defiant Gustav was against this depressive atmosphere and determined to try to make this a good snoggletog, Adelaide was finding herself eager to help. "But, I won't let you do this alone Gustav. We'll make this place look like the Snoggletog wraith had one too many arrows of dragon nip and threw up across the village." Adelaide said with a determined look of her own now.
