"PEBBLE'S DIALOGUE" | 'PEBBLE'S THOUGHTS'
Pebble came up hills to his favorite spot and sat between the newly born wild flowers which were glowing with bright colored butterflies that came in search of its nectar, while enjoying the view of the entire valley below. On a lower peak of the Badmist Mountain, Pebble let out a sigh as he leaned against a rocky bluff, watching some streams of ice cold water falling to the river in between. The river was so clear and sparkly due to the reflection of the sun which shined this bright after a long time. The background of the view contained many overlapping mountains; some of which whose snow would never melt on the meridian of misery. The mountain path beside the dragophobe grew wide where the soil was soft and then narrow in the rocky passes. There were times it was barely there at all, no more than a mild disturbance in the dirt. But always it lead upward to the peak, a place Pebble was simply too scared to head to. Wild dragons ran amok at the high peak, and the tiny excuse for a viking would rather stay away from the giant lizards.
The night came with such a bitterness that the rutted brown fields took on the appearance of a sugared cobbler under the moonlight. The cold stole every bit of water from the air it could in its frenzy to frost over the mountainside. Pebble pulled his green cloak closer over his form, shivering in the light of the crescent moon. Night was the only time he could get some release from the scaled terrors a certain viking let into the village. Dragons and their Vikings were fast asleep, leaving only a few night owls to stay awake. Sure, Pebble had to maneuver around a few Night Terror flocks, but it was minimal compared to the many dragons that ran amok during the day. Sighing, the little viking took out his notebook, holding it open in the moonlight."Finally...." Pebble muttered to nobody in particular, rolling back with a sigh. "No dragons. No parents. No worries..." He spoke with another relieved sigh, staring up at the moonlight, which was now somewhat blotted out by... something. "...Right?"
Pebble narrowed his eyes, his ears ringing a little in the presence of a... fluttering sound? It was hard to make out what was in front of the sliver of moon now, but it kind of looked like a--- "aaaAAAUUUUUGH!" Pebble found himself shrieking when something dove down, picking up his tiny form before he could bail. Talons wrapped around the tiny viking as he was hoisted into the air. Hisses and growls invaded the now thoroughly terrified inventor's ears. Raising his head, Pebble's face would soon go blue as he caught eye of his captor, a four-headed Snaptrapper. And boy, did all four of those heads look hungry...
Breathing quickening to inhuman paces, Pebble would squirm around in the monster's grip, letting out a few more yells and cries for help as it soared into the skies. "P-put me down!!! I-I don't taste good! I promise!" He stammered, closing his eyes. The four-brained beast continued to ignore it's prey, merely snorting in response. It loosened it's grip on the boy threateningly, letting him dangle over the countryside far, far below... Yelping once more and gripping the dragon's claw, the woozy boy who was probably about to faint wasn't sure what would be a worse fate- being eaten by four heads or dying from the fall and then being eaten by four heads...
