Berk had changed in more ways than one since Kieron had been there. It was certainly larger, more powerful looking, and it wasn't in a constant state of alert when it came to dragons, which now occupied many houses and perching on roofs or going into a larger structure to the side of one of the cliffs. A hanger perhaps. In a nutshell, it was not the Berk Kieron had left, but rather a strange place that resembled the old Berk. It had grown since he had last glimpsed it during the battle with Dragon's alpha dragon, quite an accomplishment to make within the two years since then.
He strolled through the once familiar village, Sitka tailing his right flank and watching wearily towards those they passed who looked equally curious, distracted, or hostile, no doubt due to the symbols he bore. One being a branding on his upper arm from Dragon's army and a buckle that bore the symbol of the dragon hunters, a less than welcoming sight on a place such as Berk. "My how things have changed." Kieron mused, Sitka giving a soft hiss in response. "Don't suppose you would know, hm Sitka." The young man gave the faintest smirk, tapping one of his brass knuckles on the specially made collar around the dragon's neck.
Sitka merely shook his head, his fins flexing and rippling but he otherwise seemed content with their walk. Finding themselves in the middle of the village proper, Kieron eyed the many buildings Berk was now made of, "So many choices." He commented softly before a low rumble from Sitka caused the trapper to perk up, turning to see what had gotten his dragon's attention.

Hiccup Haddock
The Chief Has Returned...
The brandings and marks had not gone unnoticed by a few of the villagers, one of which had slipped off from the thrum of people to put a bug in the chief's ear about the rather unique visitor, unique in a village like Berk anyway, they recognized Viggo's mark, they knew Drago's as well, and the battle was still fresh in many villager's minds, none more so than Hiccup, and he was keen to greet this man, he was still on edge after his last show down with Viggo, and having one of his men in his own village raised the hairs on the back of his neck...He wouldn't be hostile, yet, but he needed to make sure this guy knew that he was being watched.
"You're brave, showing your face here of all places after what your boss...Both of your bosses by the looks of it...Did to me and my village." He crossed his arms over his chest as he regarded him with a wary expression, taking him in from his remaining working eye, "I hope you didn't come here to cause trouble, what's your name?" He approached the man closer, eyeing him, and his dragon, "and why are you here?" He tried to keep his tone conversational, but it was difficult when he felt so on edge.

Kieron's lips quirked into a smile of sorts when hearing the young chief of Berk, Kieron turning to face Hiccup who seemed to have finally begun filling out since he could remember. Sitka though gave a hostile growl from beside his right, the young trapper having to click two of his brass knuckles together to ensure the dragon did not do something that would warrant retaliation...yet. "Well first of all, my name is Kieron Guldvaldsson, I'm a former resident of Berk before sailing off with my father to the wide open seas. Maybe the name will come back to you sooner or later, I believe we use to play together as children." Kieron introduced himself, placing a hand on his heart and upperback before giving a slight bow, one of mockery and little respect. Yet, at least.
Standing back straight he simply shrugged his shoulders, "My main reason is coming to see what Berk is like, I did not expect the festivities would be thrown in your obvious, grand return." His tone was actually genuine and sincere, having partly been curious to how Berk had faired the past many years, especially since Dragon's attempt to destroy Berk. "And that's former employer mind you, Drago was defeated after all, so I went to find new work." He said simply, tone calm as his posture as he took a step the chief, his smirk becoming wicked, "Although, Viggo wanted to send his regards for not being able to arrive in person." Without warning, Kieron brought his knee up to hit Hiccup square in the gut causing several to stop and take moves towards him. Sitka though was quick to stop them with several electrical blasts near their feet as a warning to stay away.
As if nothing had happened, Kieron went on, "But I also came to make a business proposal Haddock. I am not an utterly heartless sort, so I figure we can have a deal. Viggo is more business partner than employer, so I operate my own deals as well." Kieron explained as he offered a hand just in case Hiccup needed it.

The Chief Has Returned...
Kieron. That name certainly did have a familiar ring to it, there were never very many that he actively interacted with who were his own age back then, most of the other kids seemed keen to avoid him, but he did have faint memory of the name, "Kieron, that's a familiar name, but you'll have to forgive me if my memories are a bit fuzzy..." He didn't make any indication that he was offended by the rather mocking bow, because he wasn't, he only gave an amused snort and smirked at him, he was cheeky, that was for sure.
He looked around and chuckled softly, "that's flattering, but not why this festival was thrown." He shrugged a little, "the village needed this, it's mostly to celebrate the Academy being built, though." He was a little disappointed to see that he seemed to have no idea where Drago had skulked off to either, it wasn't like he was especially afraid of the man anymore, but he liked knowing where his enemies were, and he had no idea where this one has slinked off to, "defeated, but not dead, I don't expect any trouble from him, but it's good to know where your enemies are." There was a bit of a pointed tone, as he still didn't fully know what he was dealing with in regards to Viggo either.
He was about to say more, but was quickly silenced by the heavy knee to the gut, which crumpled him to the ground for a moment, it didn't take him long to regain his composure, looking up at Kieron and taking his hand to get back to his feet, "I have half a mind to knock you in the nose, but I don't shoot the messenger..." He grumbled, eyeing him as he considered his words, "okay, I'll listen to what you have to say, I'm not an unreasonable person." And he was curious, mainly because he was curious.

"To be fair, many of Drago's men took off following the man's fall from his self-proclaimed godhood so you ma be sorely disappointed knowing few us are aware of where the man even went." Kieron spoke with the slightest shrug of his shoulders, feeling no love for the man much less any respect. "Personally, I could probably thank you and your scaly friend for taking out the lunatic, finding a decent job on the side became such a pain when he took over many of the hunting routes. Not to mention the pay was rather shitty too, worse than the man's odor." Kieron scrunched his nose at recalling it, snorting at the memories of working for a mad man.
But with Hiccup back on his foot and a half, Kieron cleared his throat and seemed to actually become serious. "As I once said, Berk was my home and I know how exceptionally stubborn our people can be. And I know you're in a position to wanting to save as many dragons as humanly and dragonly possible, so..." The man actually gave a sly, smug grin as he clasped his hands behind his back, "How about I give you the slightest bit of a hand, hm? Viggo requires a certain quota and sometimes I come across more dragons than I truly need. When I have extras I can stop by here and allow you to have the extra dragons that I snare and in return much needed supplies, maybe a small fee included."
Perhaps it wasn't his greatest deal and certainly was pushing the boundaries but no one ever got anywhere playing it completely safe. Once more he held out his hand, "What do you say chief? This is a one time deal my friend, and I'm one of the few trappers willing to release some dragons into the care of bleeding hearts such as yourself." Kieron asked, single eye raised quizzically while Sitka eyed Hiccup closely, monitoring what he was doing the entirety of the transaction. Tags: Hiccup
