Times like this, I wish I never existed
Well...That could have gone better...
He was still fairly novice when it came to manning a forge, Gobber did his best teaching the boy what he knew, but when you tended to be prone to accident and injury...Well things happened. He'd been trying to forge a piece for a device he'd been working on, which up until now Gobber had been helping with...Or at the very least the man had been making sure he didn't blow the forge sky high, but this was the last piece he needed and at the present Gobber was gone with his father, which left Hiccup with far too much free time on his hands.
He coughed hoarsely as he stepped out of the smoking structure, covered in ash and black from the explosion that had rocked the building, but somehow didn't manage to level it...Yet...The fire that had started certainly didn't look promising...
He let out an alarmed sound as he scrambled to fish water from the well, causing more black smoke to billow en masse from the smolders as he tried to undo his mess before anyone...
He jumped when he heard the sound of movement behind him, turning to see more than a dozen scathing, angry eyes turned his way.
"Uh...Whoops? I'm...I gotta..."
He dropped the bucket where he was standing before darting off, trying to drown out the less than kind words that followed him. He'd heard it all before, but it never really stopped hurting.
He sighed as he slowed to a stroll, the twiggy boy's head hung low as he did his best impression of a hermit and avoided everyone...Or tried to.
