Searing pain had run through the man's head as he awoken, blurry eyes catching two figures standing near him, one he recognized as Kierr, which made him want to pop up, and run over and hug the smaller man, happy to be reunited... The other figure was Viggo, sitting atop his Titan wing nightmare with a furious look in his eyes. Gladios, reality not sinking back into him yet, gave a sweet smile, rubbing his head as he sat up... but as everything slowly sank back into place he realized Viggo was probably angry at him. This was bad... This was very bad. What if he got fired? He wouldn't be able to see Kierr anymore! Where would he work?!
Viggo spoke in a tone showing much more than agitation, clutching something metal in one hand, the other was gripping the dragon's horn, and the dragon hissed lowly at his master's rather uncomfortable grip, "You not only let the dragon out of his cage, but you let him off this Island. My entire plan has collapsed, and you're going to suffer for it!" Viggo looked to Keirr, knowing the close bond the two shared, "Prove you aren't with him and some sort of spy. Kill him." You're tragically stupid, aren't you? His face was grave when Viggo informed him of what happened, grave, and mildly annoyed. He'd protested against putting Gladios in charge of guarding that damn dragon, he'd told Viggo that it was a bad idea, he knew his friend wasn't competent enough to tie his own boots let alone guard vital cargo like that. But of course, Viggo didn't listen, because Viggo never listened, and he was getting plenty sick of this whole revenge scheme. It was one rider that Viggo seemed to have a hard on for killing, sure the dragon was rare, but what good was that if Viggo only intended to kill it in the end? He was fairly ambiguous on this whole thing, but he could smell a poorly thought out idea when he saw one.
And then, what he knew would happen, happened. Gladios let the dragon escape, or let it go, the poor soft hearted fool. Viggo had collected them both, and here they were, he was standing with a blank expression, a long lance held in his hand. Gladios has screwed up, and somehow he'd been pulled into the man's punishment, as usual. He fixed Gladios with an expressionless look, "you've been dragging me into your messes for as long as I've known you, Gladios." He eyed him critically and sighed, "and now it's come to this." He took a look around him, there were two dragons in cages, close to where they were...
He stepped closer to Gladios with the spear held out to him, before he took a breath and turned quickly, flinging a dagger at Viggo, he knew the blade wouldn't hit it's mark enough to kill the man, but he wasn't aiming to do that, he was more interested in distracting him.
"Gladios, go open those cages!"

Gladios smiled at his friend and closed his eyes, braced for what his friend was going to have to do in order to keep his job... The words stung of course, but there was something else to it that... seemed off to the barge of a man. He opened his eyes again just as Keirr threw something metallic at Viggo, who dodged barely in time, a cut appearing on his arm that he clutched with his free hand quickly, the dragon roaring and fire appearing in his mouth as if he were about to shoot them with it.
Hearing his friend's command he rushed to the cage of the sand wraith, ripping the flimsy lock off since it was just your ordinary chain, and jumped onto the dragon's back, who seemed to happy with the idea of freedom to care that there was a man riding him. The titanwing shot a stream of fire at him, which Gladios' new dragon deflected with his own shot of fiery sand, some of the sand blowing back at Titan and making him hiss in agitation. Viggo let out a frustrated growl and grabbed his sword from his waist, "Neither of you will get far!" Gladios, however, wouldn't be going anywhere without Keirr, flying a small bit above the ground while his dragon continued to barade Viggo with bursts of sand to give Keirr time to get up as well. You're tragically stupid, aren't you? He was glad that the bigger man picked up on what he intended to do, as he wasn't sure if he could fight against a titan wing for very long. He followed Gladios to the cages, "sorry Viggo! I'd love to stay under your oh so respectable thumb, but I'm afraid we've got to cut our arrangement short."
It didn't take him long to get the lock off the cage that held a Slithersong, climbing on the beast's back, "we both want the same thing, so you might as well cooperate." The dragon let out a complaining hiss before reluctantly taking flight, "We shall see wont we?" He called back to Viggo in a mocking tone, before jerking his head at Gladios to indicate that they should put distance between them.
He sighed and fixed Gladios with a fairly unamused expression, "so, this is your mess then, where do you intend for us to go?" Two fugitives on relatively distinctive dragons? What could possibly go wrong?

Gladios sighed in relief that the other dragon and his friend were airborn, not seeming to have any problems besides the fact Viggo and his dragon were angry and seemed ready to take off. "Distance sounds good!" He said back, patting the sand wraith's head gently, "You can stop shooting now friend. We must fly away." The sand colored dragon huffed, not understanding too much of what his human said besides, "friend" and "fly away," all of which sounded good to the beast. Remembering the direction the dragon had wanted to row the not so smart man devised a plan, "We can find my night furry friend. A day or two on boat is nothing compared to speed of airborn dragons, right? He fly that way!" He proposed, already taking off in that direction.
Below Viggo was cursing himself for not giving chase, but he was in no condition to fight... Instead Titan flew him back to the main ship where he intended to make more plots of vengeance
Gladios looked over to his friend, coming to a slow glide as he gave Keirr a thoughtful look. "Why didn't you just kill me? You could have kept your job." WORDS ● TAGGED ● NOTES

You're tragically stupid, aren't you? The dragon that Kierr had hopped on seemed much more bad tempered than his companion's complacent sand wraith, jerking him on his back and earning a bad tempered hiss from the man in return, "I'm on your side, please relax." He reached to try and run a hand over the dragon's head, getting a warning hiss in return before the beast decided that he didn't feel like bucking him and rumbled in annoyed compliance.
He turned his eyes to his friend next and sighed, shaking his head, "night fury friend? So you did release the damn thing" He scoffed, gesturing with a hand, "I told Viggo not to assign you to this task! But no one listens to me!" He eyed him but nodded and sighed, "then you lead the way, you saw which direction he was heading in." Though he was more than a little wary of following him anywhere.
He considered his question for a moment, then looked ahead, hard eyes set on the horizon, "killing you would have been a much simpler solution, wouldn't it?" He scoffed, "but I suppose you have your uses, I wasn't entirely committed to this job anyway." It was his own, less friendly way of saying, that he didn't want to lose his friend over a job.

Gladios watched as Keirr's dragon didn't seem to happy about having a rider, just like the rider didn't seem to happy about being on a dragon. "If he becomes too much to handle I'm sure Pumpkin here can carry us both." He said and pet the sand wraith's head, who gave him a friendly croon and smiled at the other dragon, as if he was telling the other to be happy they were free. Of course, Gladios had already named the beast, naturally, he planned on keeping the friendly wraith. "He looks a lot like the one I let go... and I had to let him go." He said defensively, "The poor thing was netted and caged, starving. I couldn't just stay there and watch a creature like that suffer till he died. That would be torture for him and I both!" He pouted, brows furrowed, "You aren't mad at me for it, are you...?" WORDS ● TAGGED ● NOTES
