Adelaide carefully fitted Seaspray's saddle so it was snug against the dragon's form but not too tight that it would be uncomfortable or too loose that it would move around. Once she and Seaspray found it was just right the red head fitted the loop and secured the straps before she secured some small amount of supplies for the day since they intended to spend some time out in Black Heart Bay. Clouds were gathering in the nearby skies, but they did not give them much concern that rain or storms would stop them. There was more sunshine than threat of such storms so she was not utterly worried that they would have to come back much earlier than planned.
"Alright, think we're ready to go. What do you think Seaspray?" Adelaide asked, patting the dragon's neck as Seaspray gave an excited growls and waved her tail back and forth to show her eagerness to get moving. With a soft chuckle and a broad grin, Adelaide gripped the saddle and hoisted herself up onto the saddle before strapping her feet and lower legs into place, the best way to ensure she did not slip off in flight or when they dove beneath the waves as they sometimes did. With a gentle tap of her heels, Seaspray took off from the Jorgenson home and took off towards the sea stacks in the distance, passing through the chasm to reach the bay, Seaspray's powerful wings flapping hard and fast as she seemed excited for their training and to improve their growing bond as rider and dragon.
Once the sea stacks were only yards below them, the youngest of the Jorgenson clan patted the dragon's shoulder to slower her down to a hover, peering over Seaspray's long, lean neck to see. "What to do first. Target practice? Diving? Flying?" Adelaide asked, seeing her dragon was equally curious of where to start. But when a desire to practice their diving and flying in one, the Tide Glider gave little warning before she was diving towards the sea, "Whoa! Seaspray slow down!" The red haired teen tried to call out, but her voice was lost on the wind as the exotic colored dragon dove for the surface but soon leveled out at the last minute, belly and tail skimming the surface and sending water flying out at her sides while Adelaide clung to the saddle for some sense of not feeling like she was being thrown off.
She gave a few quick taps on the dragon's scales, causing Seaspray to let out almost a whine of disappointment but understanding the message and slowing herself so her rider could catch her breathe. "Easy girl, little warning next time would help." Adelaide said, taking a few deep breathes to calm her racing heart but not realizing they were not alone as they thought. Tags: Gustav Notes: ---

BUT NOW I'M INSECURE AND I CARE WHAT PEOPLE THINK It felt like it had bee ages since he'd flown with Fanghook, and in a way, it had, the Monstrous Nightmare had been grounded for a while after returning home badly injured, for the duration of Hiccup trying to figure out how to fix the damage and missing spines along his back. He patted the dragon's neck and looked up at him, and at the flashy metal that now replaced some of the vital spines, it was an ingenious prosthetic, it hadn't been an easy fix, but Hiccup had done a good job...Now they just needed to test fly it to see if it would work. "don't worry big guy! We'll be fine!" He peeked over the cliffside and grinned, "there's just water down there! So if we fall...Well uh...Lets just not fall!" He threw a cheeky grin at the dragon, who thwapped him gently over the head with his tail before lowering his head so the short boy could climb on, "we'll start off easy, alright? It's been a while, so you'll need to stretch those wings!" The dragon let out an excited croon, not waiting for anymore urging before he leapt right over the side of the cliff ans stretched his wings, Gustav held his breath for a brief moment, waiting to see if the metal spines would serve their purpose. He threw his arms up and let out a loud howl of laughter when the Nightmare darted through the sky, flying every bit like he did before the accident, "Yes! Back in business, baby! Look out Berk the wonder duo is back in the skies!" He leaned up and gave Fanghook a pat on the head, about to speak when he was distracted by a flash of color through the sky, "woah! That looked like Adelaide's dragon!" He gave Fang's horns a gentle tug to turn them towards the pair that had shot off past them like a rocket, grinning with a raised brow when they finally slowed down enough for the pair to catch up, "you two are quick enough I bet you could give Hiccup and Toothless a run for their money!" He meant the words honestly, it had been impossible to catch up until they slowed down. word count ✖ @tag ✖ notes if you want

Once they were slowed down and Adelaide had regained her composure, she was about ready to tell Seaspray to land so she could put their supplies down before it got soaking wet before a familiar voice caught her attention. Adelaide tilted her head, spotting two familiar shapes that made her smile and Seaspray clicking excitedly, "Well, I wouldn't go that far." The young viking mused, a grin forming on her face as she looked at her friend as he came up beside them with Fanghook, having not seen them for sometime since things in Berk had become tense and rough lately. Her attention had been focused on helping to heal others or preparing for anything major.
"Now if we're talking in the water then Toothless has got nothing on Seaspray." Her grin only broadened, the Tide Glider giving a confident growl in response, flapping her wings a few times as they flew. Nevertheless, the two couldn't be more happy to see Gustav and Fanghook, but she gestured with her hand towards one of the lower sea stacks, Seaspray diving down towards it before coming in for a landing. "In all seriousness though, its good to see you Gustav, and Fanghook." Adelaide told them, unstrapping herself before dropping down, removing some bags and placing them under a small tree growing on this sea stack, tucking the supplies under the roots so no wild dragons or other creatures could get to them.
Once satisfied, she turned to look towards them, happiness in her eyes but also concern, noticing the prosthetics on his spines. The pink tide glider cooed softly, coming towards her dragon teammate to sniff at the new spines, seeming to instinctively make sure nothing was wrong in the areas.

BUT NOW I'M INSECURE AND I CARE WHAT PEOPLE THINK His expression brightened and he gave her a wink, the Nightmare returned Seaspray's excited greeting with his own, just as eager to be up and flying again as Gustav was to be back with his buddy up here. Gustav grinned and followed where she pointed and going to touch down shortly after her, sliding off Fang's neck when he lowered his head to allow his rider off, "Oh yeah? Don't doubt it, I'd love to see ya'll in action!" They were definitely his go-to if he ever needed someone to handle something stealthily, from beneath the ocean, he could think of more than a few good ideas based around that, actually. He nodded and patted Fanghook's side fondly, looking up at his dragon, "yeah! Good to be back, Fang was in bad shape for a while, but it takes more than bad weather and bad falls to slow us down, right big guy?" Fanghook responded by knocking his lower jaw against Gustav's head, chortling out a laughing sound as Gustav grinned, "I hope I didn't interrupt you two practicing! " He turned his attention back to Adelaide, while Fanghook turned so she could get a better look over them, clearly not put off by the new additions, in fact, he thought they were fairly cool. word count ✖ @tag ✖ notes if you want

Adelaide had only vaguely heard what had happened, only having heard Gustav and Fanghook had gotten into a nasty mess. Seeing them now, the red haired Viking could only smile before giving him a bear hug, "Good? Gustav, its more like great to have you two back! Do you have any idea how worried we were?" Adelaide light heartedly scolded, a smile clear on her face once she let him go. "The Auxiliary riders would be nothing without you and Fanghook, and I wouldn't have anyone to banter with!"
That was one thing Adelaide loved about being an Auxiliary rider. She got to be with good friends, they were close and could trust one another to know what they other could do or what they shouldn't do, and one thing that Adelaide surely enjoyed was her occasional wholesome bantering they had during training or a mission. Gustav was one of her best friends, and their dynamic compared to her brother and Hiccup certainly was more positive. "Nah, you didn't interrupt anything, Seaspray was just excited. You know those tidal classes, can never be away from water for long." She assured him, chuckling as Seaspray gave her a light thump on the shoulder, obviously not amused. "Honestly, we hadn't even started."
"In fact, why don't you two join us Gustav? With everything that's gone on, and that new girlfriend of yours I've been hearing about, it might be good to stretch your wings." Adelaide suggested, having a hint of a tease in her tone as she came over to the Tide glider, giving Fanghook a gentle pat as she went by.

### words for @tag "Gustav" - "Fanghook" Remember that your gifts are your gain Gustav grinned wide when she pulled him into a tight hug, nearly lifting the short boy off the ground. He laughed and wrapped his arms around her in a return hug, "I may have some idea!" He gave her a cheeky expression, looking genuinely surprised by her words before he waved them off with a slightly bashful expression, "Ooooh stop, we're back now, and I don't plan on going anywhere anytime soon!" He nudged her a chuckled, "I wouldn't leave my best friend without the Gus-meister for too long!" He turned to Fanghook to pat his nose, he was especially glad that they could fly again at all...That had been touch and go while Hiccup prototyped the contraption on the dragon's back.
His face brightened more when she invited them to join her, but his expression became suddenly utterly embarrassed when she mentioned his girlfriend, "U-u-uhh...You knew about that? I uh...Hehe..." His cheeks were a bright red as he mumbled something incoherent, waving for Fang to lower his head as he climbed back on, "so yeah! Uh, we'd love to fly with you guys!" His voice cracked a little and he cleared his throat, "s-stretch our wings and all that!" He gave her a crooked grin before taking off, the pair looking back to wait for their friends.

Adelaide shook her head with a chuckle as Gustav became embarrassed, probably not expecting her to be aware of such a thing going on. Apparently her best friend needed a reminder that she wasn't entirely clueless to the talking going on around Berk, "Typical huh Seaspray?" She mused, pulling herself into the saddle as the tide glider lowered to allow her onto her back, earning a sort of laughing clicking from the Tidal dragon. Apparently the two had the same thoughts on their friends and the healer could only grin as she motioned she was ready to take flight, Seaspray soon taking to the skies after Fanghook.
"So fearless leader, what sort of training are you itching to do? Formation practice, agility, attacks? We pretty much are open for suggestions." Adelaide said as they pulled up next to the two, Seaspray flapping her wings to stay in place. Adelaide wasn't going to be picky right now, anything might be good from the looks of those spine prosthetics. The two had been through some rough times recently, so she was more than willing to give Gustav the reins for this one.
