Magni soared over the island of Dragon's Edge, his large titan wing form seeming to cover the brightness of the full moon as if a darkness was engulfing it. His silhouette showed against the night sky, nearly blending in and casting an almost ominous shadow below. His eyes were fixated on the small number of huts below that spoke of possible human life there. But, he was far too high to entirely tell since he had come across villages that were abandoned and run down, some for a short time and others for years.
His journey had so far been slow going, having yet to come across a new village to terrorize and he was becoming rather impatient. He had crossed paths with many dragons who had balked or backed off from his dominant presence, showing little mercy in those that attempted to show their dominance in response. Though, it was usually their numbers that sent him packing until the day would come he would be able to make a decent dent in any dragon groups. For now, he was settling with the luck he seemed to have coming across this part of the Archipelago. It was time to move in close.
Diving down silently, Magni made his way to some nearby cliffs, hooking his claws into them so he had a good hold to climb the rest of the way down. Small rocks tumbled down from the movements, rumbling and thudding on the ground of which he occasionally paused but saw no movement from his position. Once close to what appeared to be a strong enough tree, he pushed himself off the mountain side and landed on the thickest branch he could find that overlooked the Dragon's Edge huts, giving him an ample view of the area. It was perhaps not the best looking spot, but it would have to serve its purpose for where he settled.
Holding onto the branch, the large Stormcutter allowed his form to hang upside down, wings wrapped around his large frame with only his scarred head visible. He twisted it the full 180 degrees and turning it upright, scoping it out the best he could. But, sight was limited and much of the island was covered in shadow which meant a double edged sword for Magni. It would cover him but give him low visibility, something he'd have to wait until sunrise approached to get a better feel for the area.
Though he soon froze, catching the sound of movement and freezing where he was. Magni had smelled dragon among the human scents when coming down, making him tense and weary of what was to come, knowing it might be someone investigating the sounds from the mountain side.
