| Sean had only been moved in a week, though he hadn't been making building preparations long before that. After all this time, he never thought he'd actually become a rider! It was a real dream come true. In the small amount of time he had been making trips back and forth from the island to Berk to build and then go home, his hut was now live able, and the trip he had made last night was bringing over the small items of personal value.
Though his his but was built it wasn't decorated. Sean smiled at Seashore, his dragon, and he huffed, slinking inside Sean's hut- he was worn out from all the flying they had done so the blonde boy understood him not wanting to help paint.
The small teen teen climbed up onto the roof himself, and set to work on the vibrant blues and greens he had picked out to use. |

[attr="class","iconimage"] I'll never go down your road I found my way on my own I'm never gonna fall in line, your future is not mine. | He'd noticed the boy and his dragon making frequent trips too and from the island in the last few days, carrying building supplies, personal effects, he looked like he was starting to settle in somewhere, and judging by the direction he was going, the chief was fairly certain he knew where. It made sense, Sean had only recently become a new rider, and a few of them were starting to settle down over on the Edge, it was a comforting sight, knowing that the outpost was still thriving even when the original rider couldn't be there.
This time, when the boy decided to leave, the chief decided to follow. He was mostly just curious, eager to see how his progress was going. He supposed he could have made his presence known when he was following the blonde boy, but the thought hadn't even crossed his mind as he trailed easily along a ways behind him, in no hurry, his pace was easy.
It was easy to spot the structure against the greens of the surrounding nature, the blue paint that had already been applied made it stand out strikingly, it looked like an sea-themed intent behind it, and he was impressed by the craftsmanship he showed.
He came to a quiet landing down below where the boy was painting on the roof, coming in from behind without thinking about how he wouldn't be seen as he craned his neck up to squint through the sunlight.
"Hey! Came out to see how this was coming along! It looks great!"

| Sean was about to grab the bucket of blue paint since he had just finished up with the one he had, and already his pants and hands as well as his face were coated with smudges of blue and white. Some of his hair had splotches as well, at least the stuff washed out easy.
The call from below startled him, and Sean let out a yelp as he jolted, falling off the roof. His dragon was out from hearing a new voice, but jumped to action with his rider slipping. Seashore caught the blonde boy before he hit the wooden deck around his hut... but unfortunately the bucket of blue paint had also fallen, splashing all over and in Hiccup's face and hair before the now empty bucket hit the ground and rolled to the side.
Sean would had laughed had it been anyone but his hero in the flesh. "H-Hiccup!? Oh gods I'm so sorry, I slipped and it slipped!" He ran a hand trough his hair, heart racing in fear. This was the founder of the riders and he just had to make a horrible first impression, didn't he?!
Seashore chuckled at Hiccup, however, crooning in a laugh before Sean thumbed him, sliding down and grabbing a rag from his hut, handing it to the paint covered man nervously, "Here... I don't think Blue is a good color on you..."

[attr="class","iconimage"] I'll never go down your road I found my way on my own I'm never gonna fall in line, your future is not mine. | He'd gotten a lot of different greetings in return from a lot of different people, but he could definitely say that having a paint can damn neat dropped on his head was a new one, and all he could really do in response was stand looking stunned like a startled deer as the paint splashed over his face, matting his hair to his head. Toothless looked started for a half a second too, but relaxed in the next and was sent rolling on the ground in the dragon equivalent of falling on the ground with laughter. Hiccup turned a mock scowl on the dragon, before wiping a glob of paint off of his own face and leaping on top of the tickled Night Fury, rubbing the stuff all over him as the two wrestled.
"You think you're funny, you useless reptile! But I'm a generous chief, so you can have some too!"
He laughed now too as the dragon bapped him with his front legs, sending him rolling to the ground before he looked up at the boy from where he was laying, grinning wide.
"Are you okay? You took one Hel of a fall! Don't worry about it though, I've been covered in worse things!"
He took the rag as he got to his feet, chuckling as he started to clean the mess off of his own face before going to wipe down Toothless' face, turning a good humored grin on Sean.
"It's really not, I agree, but it looks beautiful on your hut! You clearly have a knack for painting."

| Sean sighed in relief, beaming as he watched Hiccup and Toothless wrestle like brothers, smearing paint over one another. At least he didn't have the fear that Hiccup would boot him from the island or anything silly like that anymore. Hiccup wasn't anything like he expected, of course from all the stories he'd heard about Hiccup he wasn't built like the child he was anymore, a child like Sean. He looked down at his own arms for a moment, comparing himself to Hiccup and then smiling. If Hiccup had really been like him then he could be like the hero he knew Hiccup to be.
"This isn't the first introduction I was hoping for, but nothing really goes as planned here." He sighed and tilted his head up at the Burnett as he swayed back on his heels thoughtfully, "Seashore caught me, but I've had worse falls." He blushed faintly as his inspiration acknowledged the painting of his dragon on the wall, smiling brighter, "Thanks, I uh... Had a lot of time to practice back on Berk. I'm Sean by the way." He nervously offered Hiccup his hand, "If I known you'd be here I'd have cooked something."

So I'm fanning the flames to climb so high He couldn't help but laugh as he draped the rag over his head like a shawl, holding on to both ends with a grin at the boy. It was hard to be angry at someone so well meaning, and even if he hadn't meant well he certainly wouldn't have faulted him over something so innocuous, but he could tell that the kid had been pretty shaken by it, hence rolling on the ground with his dragon like an idiot, which seemed to have worked in putting him at ease, at least a little, he still looked fairly nervous.
"Well, first impressions never really go the way you want them to, do they? At any rate, I certainly wont forget you anytime soon!"
He said this with a chuckle, taking his hand in a firm handshake when he gave his name, Toothless came close behind him and nudged him gently, giving him a friendly croon in greeting when he did.
"Sean, that's the name, I've been watching you come and go from Berk! Curiosity finally got the better of me...Usually does."
He was a little surprised by those words, laughing and shaking his head as he let the rag drop to his shoulders, gesturing to the basket strapped to the Night Fury's back as he gave him a friendly grin.
"That's kind of you, but really not necessary...I brought fish for your dragon, Seashore you said? I figured he might be hungry after the flight!"

| Sean was shocked to hear Hiccup had been following and watching him, his face flushed as he shook the man's hand, though he was still embarrassed and a nervous wreck he was glad that Hiccup's personality so far was what he had been hoping for. Someone who wasn't a blood thirsty Viking.
"Oh- thanks!" The canary blonde boy beamed at the mention of food for his dragon, Seashore's tongue lolled out as well, and before he could stop his small nightmare, Seashore unhooked the basket himself, knocking it over for the fish to spill out as he ate, nudging some towards toothless.
Sean sighed and couldn't help but smile at his dragon, "Them and fish..." Sean turned his attention back to the Burnett quickly, "So you only came to check in for a while right?" Sean asked curiously as he picked up the empty bucket of paint and paint brushes that had fallen and set them on his work table, full of more brushes and paints. |
