Elysium is located deep within the bowls of Outcast Island where no sounds from the outside world reach the inner walls of the sanctum. Sunlight has never reached this place and the scent of blood and death permeates throughout the entirety of the dungeon. It is separated into two parts, each with their own twist of barbaric traditions.
Stairs wind down large spires that dig deep within the earth leading to the holding cells. Iron bars criss cross across each cell door and it is here that slaves, prisoners, and anyone deemed untrustworthy are kept. This area has also been lovingly called the food pen, as this is where most meet their fate to become meals for those strong enough to survive. There is not much else that resides here besides guards and terrified victims. Torchlight is the only thing that will allow for you to see as well as the cell area being like a maze. If one were to try to escape and is unknowing of their way, then their fate may be sealed of starvation.
Even deeper within the sheets of cooled molten rock, beyond the winding walls of the holding cells lies a place of death and torture. It appears rather beautiful at first sight, lava pools with rings of cooled magma allow for transport across the area as well as the entire thing being ringed with cooled lava. That is until you see the different torture devices that line the walls and the blood stained tables that lie within each ring. A large statue lays within the center depicting Fenrir as a snarling ravenous beast. Large metal basins filled with fire line the walls and hang by chains, the entire room extremely warm to any who enter. It is here that entertainment for those with the stomach for blood and gore takes place. It is normally reserved for the Soothsayers, trusted servants, and the chief themselves. Rituals and torture takes place here and it is said that those that die within this place have their souls trapped within the walls. This seems true due to the natural rock formations appearing to look like souls trying to crawl free from Hel's domain.
