Far off from the lights of town is a flat stretch of cooled molten rock, it is here that Cruelfield stands. It is known as Cruelfield due to its harsh nature, the lack of natural surrounding spires leaves any creature out to the elements of cold, wind, and ash. Small lava pools can be found in abundance and can overheat any human being if stood by to close, if to far away however any human being could freeze to death.
The only creatures that thrive here are the dragons that continuously raid the Outcasts. This is their nesting site, the area where explosive eggs are found in dependence all year long. Dragon eggs are considered a great meal if one can manage to steal an egg without getting caught. The dragons that live here are larger and stronger than those you would find else where, the genetic adaptations for thicker skin, stronger lungs, longer fire, and warmer cores have made them perfectly suited for their environment. Outcasts occasionally raid the dragons nests for food that they can find as well as hunting the dragons down to try and cut back on their numbers. This is considered hunting on Outcast Island and is done normally for sport or food if reserves are low.
The dragons here will always go for the kill and refuse to work along side humans normally, it isn't clear if they would trust a human being or not if they were deemed non-threatening.
