Hel's Gate is the entrance to Outcast Island, the towering spires that connect to form an arch being the very feature of it that inspired its name. The very area screams for those who travel here to turn back and never return. Fog permeates from every crevice within the jagged rock and coats the sea and whatever creatures lurk within it. The entire area is dark and foreboding, the water itself having turned black from the lack of light and concentration of ash. The entire area is like its a portal to the goddess Hel's domain. This is accentuated even more so from the two designs that have formed naturally over time on the spires. On the left side of the spire arch depicts a large serpent thought to be one of Loki's many children Jörmungandr the other side depicting what appears to be a large snarling wolf thought to be one of Loki's sons known as Fenrir.
The entire area suits its name and also serves as the docking point for any ships. Trader Johann is the only trader that deems it safe to come through the area, the water just as dangerous as the mainland itself. Large spires of stone crop out from the water and are hidden in the fog, if any unknowing sailor comes through they can easily perish.
