| | Nine times out of ten, any given day on Berk was one part chaos, one part insanity, but there were days even here where it felt like absolutely nothing was going on. Of course, there was always something that needed to be done, some problem he needed to attend to somewhere in the village, that was the nature of his position as chief, the work was never done. But he supposed he would always take hoofing it around the village dealing with petty disputes and minor inconveniences to idling in his house doing absolutely nothing...
Of course...Today that seemed to be exactly what he was doing, or that's what he was doing now, it felt like he'd taken care of everything he'd needed to, making sure the new building was going okay, helping out with that where he could, he'd probably been a little pushier than normal just trying to find something to keep him occupied. Eventually though he'd been shooed away to his house.
And now, he was looking over the schematics for the structures that hadn't been built yet, parts of his efforts in expanding and bringing his village forwards, he was fairly done with his people being considered behind everyone else, Berk wasn't a convenient trade route for most ships, so he'd put forward the idea of making it a sky port, for dragon riders from far and wide. The village was a mess right now, as his people worked diligently to lovingly build it up. It would take time, but he hoped Berk's passion would show through the work that had been put in it.

Well he had successfully managed to piss off the wrong person this time, the witch Eirhel had decided to experiment on him in return for his blatant ignorance on her brand of magic. It was in a glass of tea she practically shoved within his hands, the order to drink it unable to be resisted. He felt dizzy, the ground swinging beneath his feet only to find that his world had gone black. He awoke in his bed, Eirhel standing over him with a confused expression since she often traveled between the two tribes for the herbs that she needed. Apparently he now was part cat, ears and tail included. His studs and ear cuff blatantly shining within the red fur of the soft appendages. She had given him a simple order, go to the one you wished to have. On Zaohr he flew, the nadder far more indistinguishable than a skrill. He landed and sent his dragon off ahead to go and warn the ever present nightfury. He knew by now that the other chief hardly was without his precious dragon and he wasn't one to try and sneak up on the offspring of lightning and death.
He snuck through the setting suns light, green eyes reflecting what little light that was there with interest. The route to the others home long since memorized due to their childhood. He clambered up the back of the house, coming up to a window and rolling within the home. He sniffed the air, knowing that all to familiar scent of Hiccup. He felt a rumble bubble up within his throat but he held the sound down, his body far more stealthy and silent then before. He was sure Zaohr had brought enough attention to the front of the house, him having ended up in the kitchen. He would walk forward tentatively, slowly searching for the very special dragon rider.
"Hiccup."
The word was barely breathed, but sounded as if he had shouted from the silence ringing within his sensitive ears. They twitched and his tail swung behind him lowly, the red fur there soft looking. He continued to look around, tense and ready for an attack from the dragon riders nightfury. He knew it was probably a bad idea to enter someones house in this manner but he did not want others to see him like this.
...my heart bleeds. Will you love me? Will you leave me?

| | His head jerked up with a gasp when he heard the sound from elsewhere in his house, the dragons that was curled not far from him did the same, darting his eyes around with interest as he listened for sounds that his rider couldn't hear. It wasn't like he was especially afraid, fully realizing that this was probably just some dragon shuffling on his roof or begging to be let in, so his stance was more loose and his eyes were more curious as he slipped from his room into the main room of the house.
The dragon heard the whisper of his rider's name where his human didn't, letting out a soft hiss of warning to the rider, which gave Hiccup a little bit of pause, "you heard a voice?" Hiccup's tone was a little tight, but then he rolled his eyes and all the tension left his body as he called out, "alright Ruff, Tuff! Okay! You got me!" He strained his ears for any kind of reply, be it a snicker or another attempt to scare him, "you're both real cut ups and when I find you I promise I wont put you to cleaning the stables." He chuckled, until he looked to the side at his dragon, "not the twins then...Okay..." He took a breath, steadying himself before rounding the corner to the kitchen, his eyes widening considerably at who was there.
"Dagur!?" He managed to sputter, eyes wide, "oh for the love of...What are you doing in my house?!" He wasn't especially afraid of him being here, he was more disturbed by the fact that he'd...Snuck in through the kitchen window? It wasn't like anyone would have attacked him on the spot, Dagur was a jerk but Berkians also weren't stupid, "why did you sneak in through my window?!" He gestured to him, "what is going on?!" It was then that he noticed something was off about the man...Did he have...Kitty ears?
Hiccup rolled to the floor laughing almost immediately when he noticed this, the little red ears and the soft red tail swaying behind the fearsome Berserker being too much as he clutched his gut, eyes teary and shut tight as he cackled.
