Detailed Personality:
Kiara is slightly stuck up, due to her father telling her she was a "purebred" Skrill destined to be great like him. So she developed a shell of confidence to please her father. However, her real personality is down-to-earth, and protective of those she cares for. She is slightly stuck up in reality, simply because she does know she's quite powerful, but she mostly keeps her haughtiness to herself. She is, however, quick witted and sarcastic, and isn't afraid to use both to outsmart the humans and dragons around her. There is a downfall, though. She's quite clueless, and doesn't pick up ques from others often. She also has trouble reading into situations she didn't start herself. Her parents left her, as well. Her father died and her mother ran away, causing Kiara to develop a part of her personality that's often depressed and self-loathing. It doesn't take much to trigger this part, but it takes forever to put it back away.
Childhood:
Kiara was born to two wild Skrills, being the only hatchling to survive the winter that the litter was born into. Her father swore it was because she was destined to become a great, powerful Skrill, and doted on his only daughter heavily, making her develop a haughty and self-loving personality to please him. She was terrified to tell him that she didn't believe she was destined for such great things, and that she wished to only be a mediocre Skrill if she had to, to get by, and ended up eventually, striving to prove him right, going along with all his schemes and messing with the humans with him. They became inseparable.
Adolescence:
Her father died quickly, however, into her adolescence, and broke her mother's heart. Confident that she could survive alone, her mother left her, flying across the water her daughter loathed so much, to find a better life. Distraught at both parents' abandonment, Kiara developed her depressed side of her personality, quickly getting really down about the fact that it was so hard to go across the land and hunt without the hunters and riders noticing her. She had several thoughts of just giving up and going to a hunter camp, or giving herself over to the riders to be "tamed", but she's held out till now.
Adulthood:
Now, as an adult, Kiara has been holding her little fort on the beach for years, avoiding any trouble. Unfortunately, though, riders have spotted her, and she doesn't know how much time she has before she's either forced into submission (or so she thinks), or forced to relocate across the water she so desperately fears. Every time she thinks of it, she's sick. Her decision will be forced soon, however, so only time can tell.
