Henretta shrugged, "Considering you're on Berk, a fishing villiage with hundreds of dragons to feed, I think we can wrestle enough food up for the both of you, especially little guy here," She smiled brightly and pat the zippleback's heads again, "Baby dragons need to eat a crap ton of food every day. They don't get big without the proper nutrition you know~" She hopped onto Gummy's back, who stood and started walking while Henretta waved for them to follow, "It's not too far of a walk~"

![]()  Caspian listened as she said they did live in a fishing village. He couldn’t help but frown a bit. With her mention of food he had assumed it would be something other than the plentiful fish. He had been living on the island for a few years now and still wasn’t used to having fish at every single meal. He did sometimes get lamb chops or miscellaneous meat he could hunt, but otherwise it was just fish. She said that the babies needed to eat a ton of food to get big. Thens he hopped on the dragon's back and started walking.
Caspian followed and whistled for the baby to follow him. The zippleback quickly hurried after them. “So is there anything major I should know, about raising a baby dragon,” asked Caspian. He assumed with her living with dragons so long she might have inside to it. If he is honest he was actually kind of scared he wouldn’t know how to raise a baby dragon and he would some how mess it up.

Henretta turned to sit backwards on the saddle so she could hear the man and speak to him clearly. "Baby dragon care differs from breed to breed. Lucky for you Zippleback's are relatively easy. Keep them fed, keep them warm, water always available, don't let them in homes until they've been trained properly..." She thought for a moment with a hum, tilting her head and looking up at the clouds, "Babys are prone to igniting i they don't lean to sneeze facing away from one another, so never make their nest out of hay, green pine needles make the best bedding since they aren't all that flammable, and show them lots of affection." he finished up with a nod, "That's about it. You're lucky that isn't a baby deathsong, otherwise dragon care would be a million much harder steps." She said with a loud laugh, patting Gummy's side. "You want to hop on? Gummy can't fly with three passengers but he can move pretty quick on ground and carry all three of us still?" WORDS ● TAGGED ● NOTES |

![]()  Caspian kept an eye on the dragon as they walked. Henry said that baby dragons are different breed to breed, but zipplebacks were easy. This gave him a bit of relief. Then she started listing things off and he tried to file as much of it away as possible. Then she said to not let them in the house till they were trained. He looked up at this with a bit of concern. He had been letting the baby into his house for the past two days. He realized it probably hadn’t been the best idea, now that he’s had to put out the fire they set in their make shift bed.
Then she said to make a pine needle bed. He nodded making a note to make immediate changes. Their current bed was an old dog bed made of cloth. He was way under prepared to take two of a dragon. Then she said he should show them lots of attention. He smiled at that, at least he had been doing one thing right. She said he was lucky and he nodded, glad it wasn’t that. She said her dragon Gummy could carry all three of them. He glanced back to the baby who was a few feet back and stumbling to catch up.
He chuckled and nodded, “Yeah, that’d be great.” Caspian went to the dragon who immediately brightened at him focusing on him. Then without much warning, he scooped up the dragon. Even though he was a baby he was still quite heavy. Caspian went and attempted to set him on Gummy’s back. Then he attempted to climb up after him and balance them both out, though a bit of wobbling would be guaranteed.

Henry immediately started to pet the little babies set on her dragon, allowing them to nuzzle her or lay their heads in her lap if they saw fit. "All dragons are unique and special. From breed, to individual. Having a zippleback is like having two for the price of one, since you only need enough food for both of them too~" She playfully scratched under their chins, snorting playfully through her nose at them, "I can help you gather the pine needles to make the bed? Can be hard work getting enough for a dragon, even one his size."

![]() Caspian smiled as Henry started to pet the babies. They took the opportunity to lay their heads on her lap and nuzzle her shirt. During this Caspian was trying to find a comfortable position. He hadn’t ever been on the back of a dragon and it felt quite foreign. He stopped his shifting when Henry said all dragons were unique.
She spoke how their food as she petted them. She also said she could help get pine needles. “That would be amazing,” he said shifting his weight once more. Then he sat in silence till another thought caught his mind. “Thank you for helping me so much. Why are you helping me?” he asked curiously. He rarely ran into people without a motive and so far he couldn’t find one for her.

"The dragon riders of Berk live and fight to protect the rights of dragons and dragon riders, or in your case dragon fathers." She said with a wink, "But even if I wasn't a rider, I would want this little guy to be taken care of properly... plus, you seem like a really nice guy. It would be a shame to skip out on the chance of making a friend. Berk needs all the friends it can get~"

![]() He watched as she shrugged and looked to him. She said the riders lived to protect the dragons and apparently it stretched to dragon father's. He was also now thinking of the rides she spoke of. He had heard of them when he first arrived but had few encounters with them. He had mainly stayed between the ship building area and his small house. He nodded his understanding with a smile. Then she said even if she wasn’t a rider she would want to help the baby. He grinned down at the baby who was still nuzzling her shirt and absolutely loving the attention.
She also said he seemed like a nice guy and Caspian grinned at the compliment. Then she said said it would be a shame to miss out on a friendship. “Well, thank you. You seem very nice as well,” he said. And it was true and she seemed even nicer after that explanation. And he wasn’t sure why but he believed her wholeheartedly. “And I’d be happy to be your friend,” he said offering a small smile.

![]() Caspian looked up as the village came into view. She said it was always good to make friends and he nodded. She hummed as they moved further into the village. She asked if they should start in the mess hall. “Sure, sounds good,” he said he steadied the squirming baby dragon.

She hopped off of her dragon and helped the baby down, starting to walk towards the mess hall with a hum, Gummy walking beside her and nudging her affectionately, she nudged him back and opened the door for everyone to step through. "And here we are~" She smiled as she turned to look to see who all else was in the mess hall, "Sean!" She called out happily, waving to him and forgetting to hold open the door. Gummy caught it with his tail though, and pushed her forwards with his nose.
The blonde boy looked up from what he was cooking, smiling and waving at her. He was in the middle of making sweet rolls, enough to feed a decent group of people, as this was the mess hall he was in. Henry ran over to him and picked the boy up as she hugged him, since he was considerably light and smaller than her. "Nice to see you too!" He managed out with a laugh, and turned his gaze to the baby dragon and a man he hadn't seen before standing there.
"This is Caspian. Caspian, this is Sean! I haven't seen him ina while." She admitted with a laugh, taking her goggles and putting them on her forehead, revealing one blue eye and one green, though Sean just waved. "I hope you plan on sharing those sweet rolls. I've missed your cooking as much as I've missed you." She said and punched his shoulder playfully, and he laughed and nodded.
"Yeah sure, just let them cool down a little before you eat them."

![]() Caspian shakily slid of the dragon while she helped the baby get down. He wasn’t sure how people ever learned how to ride or fly on them. He could barely sit on top the walking Gummy before feeling like he was going to fall on his face. Then they started to walk and the baby followed behind him closely. She opened the door and shooed the baby in. “Thanks,” he said as she came in behind them.
Then he noticed someone else was already in here. She called to him and called him Sean. Caspian still being kind of new hadn’t met many people, including him. He was cooking something but looked up and waved. He was surprised to see Henry run over and take him up in a big hug. Then their attention was drawn to him. Then she introduced them to each other. “Hi,” he said putting out his hand for a shake. He was quickly looking over the other guy. He seemed younger and smaller.
Then Henry was speaking and talking of the food he was making. He said sure and Caspian was happily surprised. He was getting pretty hungry and he was excited to eat a sweet roll.

Sean took the man's hand with a beaming smile, "Nice to meet you. I hope Henry didn't give you a hard time.., we all know she can be..." Henry. ![]() Caspian smiled back as the guy took his hand. Sean spoke and said he hoped Henry didn’t give him a hard time. He mentioned they all thought she was a bit crazy. Caspian grinned at the cozy nature between the two. “Nice to meet you too,” he said.

Sean's dragon, a sky blue monstrous nightmare named Seashore, was sitting in the corner curled up, and Henry's nadder joined him by the large furnace sleeping. Meanwhile Sean grabbed each of them a plate and handed Caspain and Henry a sweet roll, Henry of course wasting no time in digging into the sweet treat, icing all over her nose, making the blonde laugh. "Ah, the best cook~" Henretta teased as she nudged Sean playfully again, though the blondes attention was now on the man's dragon. "Whats their names?" Sean asked softly, referring the the baby zippleback. template by Sammy @ Adox 2.0 |
