My name's Hiccup...
The Pride of Berk
...Great name, I know.
He was lamenting not having stopped to rest ages ago, insisting instead of continuing until they found something, he was losing strength, tired and uncoordinated, and the worst part was knowing that if they did manage to get away, they would be flying completely fatigued and drained. He set his foot down when he was sudennly pulled forward, against Dagur's stronger form, it was a situation that was far too intimate and uncomfortable, and he half worried that the man would end up leaning in to take a kiss where it wasn't given freely before. Instead, his attention was taken by the footsteps too, and he felt a wave of relief when he saw both dragons coming into view again. Toothless immediately getting a protective stance when he saw the situation.
Hiccup hated that kiss, even if it was on his forehead, and when he was released, he backed up to the rock, away from Dagur, watching him intently, "fun is entirely subjective, Dagur." His voice dripped with venom, trying to get a parting bite back at the man that was mounting his dragon, "how about we don't, friend." His green eyes glared, watching intently until he disappeared from the sky.
His legs went wobbly as the adrenaline and worry finally took over, holding on to Toothless when he came to his side, "we need to get home." He tried to steady his breath as he hopped up onto the saddle, giving the dragon a moment to take care of the fire before the pair took wing. They were both exhausted, he was hungry, but he also didn't want to hang around here any longer. He was ready to be home.
