| SEAN AVRID "I'm not helpless... Unless you say so."
Sean had boarded his parents' fishing boat in hopes of just a happy family trip into the sea, just him and his caretakers whole had happily raised him after the untimely death of his parents when he was four. Of course that didn't affect how much the old couple loved Sean, or how much he loved them. They had set out to sea early in the morning, though Sean had left Seashore on Berk after informing his friends of the three day trip he would be taking. Unfortunately after only the first day on the water it seemed the ocean had different plans.
A storm let down on the family in the dead of night, bringing hellish rain down and lightning struck near the ship, one bolt hitting the mast and setting the sail ablaze, and the ship hit a rock formation, no one saw it coming. Using what wreckage had washed up on the shote and survival skills taught by Henry the now stranded boy started to make a shelter, doing his best to not cry over the fact his parents hadn't washed up wish him... And he was fairly certain he wouldn't ever see then again.
Seashore, back at home where the storm was just reaching Berk, was now looking out over the ocean from Hiccup's roof where his rider had gone, it was a whole day past when he was supposed to return, and he felt something in the pit of his stomach telling him that something had gone terribly wrong and that his rider was in... He shifted where he stood, not bothered by the rain starting to beat down at his back, nor the loud bursts of thunder that rattled his ears.

### words for @tag "Hiccup" - "Toothless" A PERFECTLY CONSTRUCTED ALIBI He'd grown worried for the boy the moment the foreboding clouds had begun to dominate the horizon like a bad omen from Thor himself, the skies had been clear, the weather perfect for sailing, but anyone on Berk knew how quickly that could change. In the blink of an eye it felt like the whole sky was coming down to destroy anything that happened to be out there on those turbulent waters. They'd already gotten one ship brought in in pieces, thankfully those sailors had survived, but there hadn't been a single sign of Sean or his family out there, and they should have been back by now.
He flinched as the thunder boomed ahead, normally keen to wait out these storms in the safety of his hut, the young chief had been terrified of those sounds for a while now, to many close calls, too many explosions...But Sean needed someone...And he couldn't ask anyone else to make this journey in his stead.
"I know, I know, this isn't going to be a fun flight, but we've got to find him." He mumbled to the dragon as he secured the saddle into place, making sure everything was extra secure and tightened properly to avoid any slips or accidents while flying against the wind before he led him outside, looking up to the roof where Sean's dragon was watching. He sighed, climbing on Toothless' back before the pair flapped up to the roof and he looked over at Seashore, "if you can fly in this, follow us, we're going to find Sean." He offered the dragon a reassuring smile before Toothless took off, beating his wings hard to pick up speed as they tore through the rain.
Flying through any kind of bad weather was doubly dangerous for the pair, who had a significantly higher amount of metal on them, so he did his best to keep them lower to the ocean, only arching up to avoid the heavy waves as he scanned for any sign of life from anywhere.
The squall was less intense when they finally spotted the glow of a fire, immediately coming in for a landing, "Sean!?" He felt relief when he spotted the blonde, letting out a breath he didn't know he'd been holding, "thank Thor, are you okay?" He came closer, starting to look him over for any obvious injuries.

| SEAN AVRID "I'm not helpless... Unless you say so."
Seashore huffed at Hiccup for even implying that he wouldn't go. This was his rider. He tore off after the nightfury, manuvering around souly to gain speed.
Sean was finally in tears, a fire started in his shelter so that the rain wouldn't put it out, knees curled up to his chest as he stared into it, the dark outside making it all so much worse. How long has it been? Did anyone even know he hadn't come back yet? Did they even care? Sean wiped his face and huffed, thankful he wasn't a snotty cryer.
He yelped in surprise when a monstrous nightmare poked his head into his makeshift shelter, and in the next instant he had his arms around Seashore's neck, tears now more joyous. Seashore crooned happily, and Sean slowly looked over at Hiccup and Toothless, shakily nodding as he pet his dragon. "The ship..." he snuffled and looked at the ground, the nightmare looking around worriedly for his riders care takers, nuzzling his human as he caught hint that he had survuved alone. "They haven't washed up..."

### words for @tag "Hiccup" - "Toothless" A PERFECTLY CONSTRUCTED ALIBI Hiccup's face fell at the boy's words, and he let out a long sigh, coming to sit beside him for a moment to put an arm around him, "it's going to be okay, Sean." He would find them, if nothing else then Sean deserved to have closure and a chance to say good bye...But later...Right now he needed to get him home and safe, "are you okay to fly solo?" He looked up at Seashore, then to Toothless, "you can fly with us if you need to." He was fairly sure Sean was capable, but this was an ordeal that would exhaust anyone, so he figured he would put the offer out there in case the boy needed it.
He pulled Sean into a firm hug for a moment, before pulling back and looking him in the face, "I'll come back and look for them, okay?" They both knew they hadn't survived, but it was the best comfort he could give to Sean in this moment, well that and getting him home safely.
"We need to get out of this storm..." He pulled away from Sean and got to his feet, holding out a hand to help him up. There was a soft croon from Toothless as he pushed and nuzzled his nose under the boy's hand, offering what comfort he could.

Sean hugged Hiccup tight, face buried in the larger man's face for s good few moments before he even bothered to process what the man was saying or what was happening around them. He just wanted someone to hold and sleep for a year with... He wanted to wake up from whatever horrible nightmare this was... but he knew you can't wake up if there is no dream. "I can fly on my own..." he said softly, petting Toothless's head. "Seashore missed me, didn't you?" His dragon crooned sadly and lowered his head as Sean climbed onto the saddle and sat himself down. He looked over to the mast of the sunken ship for a few heartbeats, the seconds feeling like years weighing on his chest. The ocean had again claimed loved ones into their depths... As if he had been expecting them to walk out for, the sea, he finally turned away and closed his eyes.
