[Sean Avrid]

Sean was in a flustered panick to escape the villiage for a while. He had been helping decorate when Finny rolled up out of nowhere, and somehow was able to recognize him and ask about his brother... though he didn't realise Finny knew the whole story about how he had watched his friend ... the screaming and kicking. Sean had been in the water with him, frozen in shock at the sight rather than swimming over to help, and when he had come to his senses it had been too late... he regretted it every day, and sometimes would have nightmares about the face of the boy as he sank under the water... 

He had avoided the questions from the dead boy's brother, and was speed walking as fast as he could without drawing more attention. If Finny knew then how many other people knew!? Had everyone known all a,omg or had a rumor started years ago?! One he himself hadn't heard about?  
His thoughts were cut short as his face met with ginger hair, and he almost fell over onto whoever he had bumped into, though he managed to catch himself and stop the other person from falling by grabbing their shoulders. "S-Sorry!" He said quickly, confused at the boy's face, head tilting.

[Magpie]

Being blind had never entirely bothered Magpie, his other senses, for the most part, tended to more than make up for the lack of vision. He wasn't born blind, and no one actually knew how or when it happened, given that the strange young man seemed to show up out of nowhere on a boat with no sails and no oars, there'd been a lot of offers of help from other villagers, but Magpie always assured them , rather agressively, that he was fine. Whether he actually was or not. He was either described as a total asshole, or a senile old woman, but he wasn't entirely without compassion...It just took a bit of digging through the nasty bits to find it. However, he'd never been the type to respond well to what he felt was disrespect and rudeness, so when he felt someone barrel right into him, only caught from stumbling completely off his feet by whoever had knocked him over. When he was sure he was steady again, he whirled on what he thought was the offender, staring down a post with an aggressive huff, "you ought to be sorry, little girl!" He poked the post with a finger, yelping when he felt a splinter prick his finger, looking around and waving a hand until it came to rest on Sean's face, "what's so important that you're dashing around not watching where you're going, girl?!" He narrowed his eyes behind the black tinted glasses, "waaait I recognize your smell, Sean right?" He crossed his arms over his chest, "been hearing some interesting things about you, my very girly friend." He always tended to be inside on the gossip around the village, if only because he listened very closely to what was going on around him, it was a necessity, really, but hearing juicy shit didn't hurt either. Sean wasn't too offended by the girl comment, but he could tell this man was upset... and blind. He half excepted a slap, flinching when his face was touched and tensing up quickly. "I... I was just trying to get away from... from someone." It was half the truth, but again Magpie spoke, making Sean fluster up. "Y-Yeah... I'm Sean... w-what have you heard about me?" He asked worriedly. He hadn't really done anything bad... right? Did someone know about one of his one night stands? Did someone know about him and Hiccup? Did someone know... about the accident?

[Magpie]

The red head gave him an unconvinced star as he quirked an eyebrow at him, someone, or something? He could tell by his tone that he was deeply shaken, and Magpie had a feeling he knew why. Most people at this point would leave it or offer kind words, change the subject, but Magpie was not most people, and tended to lack most of the social graces that decent folk maintained, so instead, he leaned in close, "someone...Or something?" It was easy to tell his focus was directly on Sean, even though his eyes were hidden, and he fixed him with a hard to read expression, "something bad, something bad that you did, that what you're running from?" It wasn't like he was trying to be insensitive, but it certainly was, given the situation. When Sean asked what he heard, he shrugged and smirked, "I hear a lot of things, but this time in particular, I happened to catch a juicy bit of a conversation about you, and your relation with the Smorks." He kept his focus intently on him, as if expecting him to confirm or deny what he was saying, "heavy burden to carry, being responsible for a death you could have prevented. From the things I've heard, it's gotten around, a looot of people know, Sean." His words were spoken matter of factly, less in a blatantly cruel way, and more in the manner of someone who didn't even recognize the weight of the words they were using. Sean Avrid    "Talking"

Sean felt like he was going to be sick right then and there, his heart racing and skipping beats as his stomach churchned so heavily he almost double over, breath hitching in his throat. He knew it would happen one day... and he knew it had been his fault. "I... I froze up..." He said almost it himself, voice shaky as tears started to form in his eyes, fear of what would happen to him causing bile to rise in his throat and make him tremble. "I... It was just supposed to be a fun day... I didn't think..." he couldn't bring any words up to defend himself, a whimper leaving him at the memory of Charles crying out for help... looking shocked as his friend remained still and watched... it should have been him that the water claimed. He shouldn't have even been near Charles... he was just a burden.

Magpie could smell the emotions coming off him in waves, and wrinkled his nose a little in response, letting out a soft hiss under his breath, "ah shit..." He'd never been good at dealing with other people's emotions, or other people in general, he tended to avoid it whenever possible, it was easier that way, because shit like this always seemed to happen. He wasn't especially well liked in any corner of the village for his generally piss poor manners, this was just another notch in the belt of offenses chalked up against him, and he made a face, "you're crying...Odin's ghost...Don't fuckin' cry..." He huffed softly, drawing back just a little when he started speaking. This was all very heavy, and the heaviness of it was making him more than a little uncomfortable. "So you were in the water? Right there, huh?" Shit. That wasn't what he'd meant to say out loud, he'd intended to say something comforting...Did he even know any comforting words? His face screwed up in a slight grimace and he cringed a little, "Gods above man...This is a little much? It happened, and now it's done, I hardly think anyone's gonna burn you at the stake for something that happened when you were...How old? Pretty young I bet...Get a grip." He knew they weren't the most kind or thoughtful words, but it was the closest to 'comfort' that he could possibly get. @tseanavrid    "Talking"

Sean shook his head, though he knew the man couldn't see, wiping his eyes quickly, though his tears were already streaming. "I'm not... " he lied quickly, huffing and swallowing down his nerves for the moment. He couldn't blame this guy for saying anything. At least now he knew that... everyone knew. "Just... Just please don't mention it... you can call me out on anything else, I just can't handle that memory." He said softly, figuring this guy might just be out to get him, even though it was odd he was ... sort of retracting his statement. 

"I uh... I didn't get your name." He attempted to loop the conversation completely, tears still freefalling down his face as he struggled to gain composure of his shaky voice and trembling hands... what if the villiage did decide to kill him? Oh gods what if he was accused of some sort of murder!

Magpie cringed visibly when he tried to fruitlessly to say that he wasn't crying, he really hadn't meant to make the kid cry, he seemed to be good at doing that. He cocked a brow though and scoffed, tossing his head in what was supposed to look like an eyerolling gesture, "you're a shit liar." He turned his face away, like he was looking for the nearest exit away from this painfully awkward encounter, gods he wasn't gonna stop crying, was he? He lifted his hands when he told him not to mention it, "alright alright, I wont mention it, just...With the water works...Really?" the kid really was doing a piss poor job of hiding that he was obviously crying, how'd his day manage to end up like this? Right. Karma. He supposed he deserved this. "Magpie...Listen kid...Sean? Just...Like...Breath..." He took a deep breath in, then out, it was all he really knew how to do, "you're brains makin' this whole situation like ten million times worse...Brains are good at that..." He shifted a little uncomfortably, "uh...B-but like...It's fine...You'll be fine?" He offered a crooked grin that was more than a little labored, like smiling wasn't something he did often. He didn't know what he was doing, probably making things words, he seemed to be very good at that. Sean Avrid   "Talking"

The blonde scoffed and took a slow breath, wiping his eyes with both hands and sniffing, "I'm just a big baby sometimes I guess..." he said with a small laugh at himself, suddenly throwing his arms around Magpie... It was a guesture he was mostly used to with almost anyone. Henry had made him this upset once, so had Frey... of course they were both his long time friends, but what could be the harm? "I'm really done.. okay?" He said softly, head rested against Magpie's chest due to his... lack of height.

Magpir didn't say anything for a little while, until he just sighed and shook his head, "yeah well...True...But like...Y'know..." He gestured with his hands, looking like he was struggling to figure out exactly what he wanted to say, "everyone gets like that sometimes, it's no big deal..." He was about to say more, but instead let out a surprised sound when the smaller boy hugged him, tensing up just a little at the contact before turning a somewhat awkward smile down at him, lifting a hand to pat his hair a little, "o-okay then...Y-you're hugging me? Why?" He looked around, half confused, his tone didn't suggest that he wanted him to pull away, it was more surprised at anyone wanting to hug him...Usually people just wanted to punch him in the teeth... "There has to be a reason to hug someone?" Was Sean's response as he looked up at Magpie, tilting his head and curiously looking up at his glasses. "Just my way of saying sorry for freaking out I suppose. Ah... hey, I have somewhere to be." He said and pulled away, rubbing the back of his neck. Honestly he didn't need to be anywhere, he just still needed to escape. "If I bump into you again I'll have pie next time. See ya- I mean... y-you know what I mean."
