“Come on, guys,” said Caspian with a smile upon his lips. He looked back to see the little hideous zippleback hurrying after him. Both heads were up and excitedly trying to get to him. But their little legs weren’t able to keep up with their wishes. In the next instant, they tripped over their own feet and wiped out. They flopped to the ground on their back, unable to turn themselves back up. Both heads were trying to get up in different directions and fighting against the other. Both let out small distressed cries as they started to panic.
“Hey now,” said Caspian darting over to help them. He gently picked them up and turned them over. Both heads still made small unhappy noises even though they were turned back up. “Hey, hey,” said Caspian getting their attention and cooing over them. After another moment they were back and happy and wandering back through the woods. He got up and shouldered his bag and started to walk, them following right after him.
Caspian was back at Raven Point in the same area he first found the dragons. It had been a few days ago and each day he had come back here. He was still trying to figure out where their mother ended up. He wasn’t a nest snatcher and hadn’t meant for the dragons to follow him at all. At first, he had found their constant following quite annoying. However now he was rather fond of them, not that he would admit it. So now he was in the woods searching every river, clearing, and tree for a missing dragon mother. He had yet to find even a nest but he was determined to find it.

Henretta heavily enjoyed adventuring with her deadly nadder, Gummy, throwing herself out into the wind, sometimes quite literally, and playing and meeting all the other dragons temporarily landing on Berk for a breather, or even staying permanently to check out their nests up close. Right now, however, she was simply climbing trees and enjoying the sights while her navy blue dragon watched worriedly from the ground, afraid the insane woman would jump from a tree, or less likely just fall. He was glad they weren't flying for the moment, catching her mid air proved more of a challenge when the brunette kept jumping off.
She wasn't going to be on Berk for long sadly, as she lived on Dragon's edge as a rider and had been for a few months- though her lovely friend Hiccup and dragons were here, not to mention the den where Gummy's family had raised her after her... abandonment.
While walking out on a thin branch of a pine tree she... of course, slipped and let out a howl of laughter as she fell, fully well knowing that Gummy would catch her- she wasn't the least bit afraid of death awaiting her upon her landing.
Her nadder, used to the events by now, took flight to catch her higher up, and landed once the rider was secure on his back, facing the wrong way. He let out a few angry squaks that she had once again put herself in danger. Of course Henry didn't listen to her dragon, instead she turned her gaze to a man with a small Zippleback behind him. "Hi." She greeted with a wave, smiling brightly as she adjusted the goggles on her face, "Most new people come in through the front entrance." She said teasingly, hopping off her dragon and dusting herself off.

Caspian walked a few more feet checking behind bushes and hopping up on boulders to look further. When he would climb the rocks the baby would sit at the bottom and wait and occasionally cry if he took too long. Caspian wasn’t sure why but the dragon seemed to have separation issues, that was quickly becoming quite the problem. But for now, he was fine with climbing down whenever the dragon determined he was out of sight for too long. They had traveled quite a ways now and he was surprised the dragon was still walking. He was already doing better than a few days ago. Getting food and water into him really helped him. He was able to keep up pretty well even on his small stubby legs.
Then suddenly their walk was disturbed by something shooting from the trees. Caspian immediately flinched and his hand shot to the knife at his belt. However, in another instant, he saw the dragon wasn’t riderless and had a woman perched upon his back. He released the knife letting his hand drop to his side. He glanced down to find the baby dragon wrapped and cowering behind his legs. Both heads peeking out, trying to keep safe but see. He looked to the woman who greeted with a wave and spoke saying most took the front entrance.
“Well, I’m not most people,” he said with a smirk. Running into another person immediately set up his defenses. His familiar smirk stayed splayed on his face dropping. Then he began to quickly look over and size up the strangers. The woman was younger than him and still a teenager, something he had just got out of. She had brown hair and light skin giving him no clues to if she was foreign or not. He was able to deduce little from her appearance or accent. He didn’t recognize her and wasn’t sure if they had met before.
Then his eyes flicked to her dragon for a second. Dark blue and quite big the deadly nadder seemed attentive to the woman now on the ground. The small dragon behind him was barely a speck when compared to the full grown reptile. “Have ya seen any dragons, like him a round here?” he asked pointing to the small dragon still cowering around his legs. Upon seeing Caspian point at him, he perked up and looked up to him and made a happy little sound. Caspian grinned before looking back up to the woman.

She beamed brighter as the man introduced himself, hands on her hips as she looked down at the baby Zippleback, her dragon crooning to the small beast happily. "Aww such a cute little pair~" She said with a baby voice, and turned her gaze back to the man, "Well you are on Berk. This whole island is home to a lot of dragons. We have at least ten Zipplebacks just in town, but I can't say I've seen any with his coloring, or any looking for their baby." She said with pursed lips, "Assumin' that's why you want to find one?"
She stepped closer, offering the man her hand as she lifted her goggles up onto her forehead with the other hand, "I'm Henretta by the way, but you can call me Henry." template by Sammy @ Adox 2.0

Caspian saw he caught her attention for just a second before her eyes moved to the baby. Her dragon crossing at it, getting both heads to look at it curiously. However, it didn't dare stray from Caspian's side just yet. Then she began baby talking to it, getting the heads to look up at her. Then she looked at him and affirmed he was on Berk and that there were a lot of zipplebacks. But then clarified that she hadn’t seen any like him or a mother. “Well, thanks anyway,” he said a bit disappointed but not surprised.
Then she guessed it was to find the mother of the baby. “Yup, pretty much,” he said offering a little nod as he did. The woman stepped closer and offered a hand, introducing herself. “A pleasure to meet you, Henry,” he said with a grin. “My name’s Caspian, but you can call me Caspian,” he said his usual slight smirk firmly on his lips. “So what are you doing out here?” he asked looking mildly interested. He knew a lot of people tended to come out here, but wondered if she had a mission as well.

Henretta had as tight grip, not letting go of the man's hand ... her unusual habit kicked in and she took a step closer, holding the man's arm above his head with one hand and started to examine his arm with her other hand, prodding and poking. "No, no mission's lately... sadly." She spoke as she continued to look over the one arm, her tight grasp wasn't enough to hurt, but just enough to assure this man wouldn't pull away so she could get a good look. She hummed as if this were normal, of course to her it was. "I was raised here, and moved to join the dragon riders a few months ago." She brought his hand back down, almost having it pressed against her face as she lightly trailed the creases of his palm with her thumbs, tilting her head and looking a little disappointing. This guy was hard to read... "I'm just visiting a bit. What about you? Are you here just to help the little guy find his momma?" WORDS ● TAGGED ● NOTES

Caspian was surprised as her hold tightened and then she brought his hand up. “Hmm okay,” he started with a chuckle but stopped when she began speaking. She sadly said she didn’t have a mission. She began to look over his arm and he glanced from her to his arm, trying to figure out what she was doing. She just hummed not disturbed at all by the fact that she was holding his arm. He didn’t really try to pull away, instead, he just tried to understand it. Though he could reach no conclusions as she began to speak again. She said she was raised here but was a dragon rider now. He found this a bit interesting, not knowing much about the dragon riders. Then she was suddenly pulling his hand down and to her face. He looked at her with bunched brows still confused.
And then suddenly she seemed to be disappointed, but from what he couldn’t tell. Then she asked what he was up to. “I live here down in the village. And yeah, I’m just in the woods to try and find the mother,” he said with a grin glancing at the dragon. It was finally venturing out to the other human, sniffing her since she was so close now. “I’ve been looking for a few days now and still can’t find any sign of her,” he said. He hated that he felt a little happy about the fact. Glad he got to spend more time with the little beastie. “Besides flying down to see the wonderful me. Is there any other reason for your visit?” he asked as he scratched the head of the left neck.

Henry laughed, a small snort mixed in with it as she crossed her arms over her chest, "I fell out of the tree actually, Gummy caught me... though I do normally jump mid flight. I like the rush and sensation falling gives me. Gummy isn't too happy when I don't warn him first~" She teased and the nadder rolled his eyes with an unamused squawk, nudging his rider with his head warningly. He was more than fed up with her throwing herself into danger for fun, especially jumping off cliffs without warning. "Guess you could say I was sight seeing." She looked around and put her hands on her chest, "If the mother is here and can't smell the baby then she may have abandoned it. They do that sometimes, sad but true..." she sighed and shook her head, crouching down and opening her arms as if wanting a hug from the zippleback hiding behind the man, "Come here babies, let momma Henry get a good look at you~" She said with a light voice, Gummy sat down, crooning in encouragement for the small dragon to approach, WORDS ● TAGGED ● NOTES

Caspian listened as Henry said she fell out of a tree. Then she went on to explain that she usually likes to jump but falling was better. She spoke and said she liked the rush, which Caspian understood. He loved climbing to the tops of the Viking ships and hanging off knowing that his life was balanced on how well he held on. He grinned as the nadder rolled his eyes with a squawk. She said she was sight seeing and then started looking around. In another second she suggested that the mother probably abandoned the baby. “Well, that’s unfortunate,” he said with a sigh. And though he did like the babies he was disappointed. Abandonment was a messy business, he knew first hand.
Then she was crouching and talking to the babies. Both heads were instantly curious and crept from behind Caspian and towards Henry. The left was intent on going closer while the other was more cautious and sniffing the air every few seconds. But soon enough they were walking towards her. Caspian watched carefully waiting to see what was about to happen. He didn’t want to be a mother hen but he didn’t want his baby getting hurt.

Henretta gently pet both heads of the dragon with either hand, smiling happily while Gummy watched. Her dragon normally wasn't one who liked to see her with other dragons, since her obsession with dragons often led him to be left out, but a baby like this couldn't make him jealous.
Henry spoke as she pet the zippleback, glancing up at Caspain, "If you can't reunite him with the mother then will you keep 'em?" She asked curiously, tilting her head, "Because if you don't want them then there's plenty of people that could take care of this little cutie ~" She beamed and turned her attention back to the two headed dragon, giggling softly. Caspian watched protectively over as the baby moved to Henry. She pet their heads and both seemed to enjoy it immensely. Caspian smiled at the happy little noises coming from them. He had found yesterday the dragons love of pets. They would be happy to spend all day just having him scratch their heads. Then his attention was drawn to Henry as she looked to him. She spoke and asked if he would keep them if he couldn't find the mother. He frowned a bit, thinking about it.
He had never planned to keep the baby dragons but he had grown to be very fond of them. After the past few days, he really didn’t want to get rid of them. He focused back on her as she said that if he wasn’t there were many people who would. She smiled and turned back to the dragon. He thought for another second and then spoke, “I think I’ll keep ‘em around.” He smiled and patted the right head. He didn’t know why but the decision but him in a great mood, making him drop the usual smirk with a genuine smile. Then he glanced to her dragon. "Where did you find that guy?" he said nodding towards the nadder.

Henretta continued to pet the small dragons as she looked up at him, pondering on how to answer his inquiry about how she came across er own dragon. "Well... I was five when my village came here, i went off to adventure in the woods and found this little guy in his nest, and I kind of stayed here to be with the dragons." She said and Gummy nuzzled her, to which she pat under his chin, hugging her amrs around her navy blue dragon, "And though I'm a handful Gummy has taken great care of me since~"

Caspian waited for a response as she petted the dragon. Thens he explained that when she was 5 she went off and then stayed with the dragons. Her dragon nuzzled her and she returned his affection with a hug. Then she said that the dragon took care of her since. Caspian looked a t her with a bit of concern but also curiosity. “So you ran away from home to be with dragons? Do your parents know you’re okay?” he asked slightly concerned. He thought most parents would probably freak out if their child just disappeared into the woods one day. |

Henretta froze at the question, tensing up for a moment before she cleared her threat, standing up with her hands on her hips, "Considering it's been eleven years they probably think I'm dead, but the past is the past." She made a waving guestures with her hand, "Have you or the dragon eaten anything recently?" WORDS ● TAGGED ● NOTES

Caspian watched her freeze and guessed he hit a nerve. But then she stood and said they probably thought she was dead. But then she added the past was in the past. “Oh,” is the only thing Caspian offered. He wasn’t sure what to think about it. She kind of had the reverse situation as him. She had left her family and his family had left him, he found it kind of interesting. But then his thoughts were interrupted by her changing the topic. She asked if either of than had ate recent;y. “Not since early this morning,” he said. Then he looked ot her and asked, “Why do you know a place where we can rustle up some grub?” |
