Heather had to get away from Berk, get away from all the confusion and failed attempts to keep up a normal front. Outwardly, she had been trying to be calm, busy herself with getting to know new people on the edge, seeing the changes to Berk, see familiar faces. But internally, Heather was becoming another emotional wreck at the most recent discovery by Valka, a woman she had barely introduced herself to before the bomb of truth was dropped. The woman was her mother, her true mother and Stoick had been her father. Hiccup was one of her best friends and the two had quite a fair bit in common but this was not at all what she expected that they also shared. He was her brother, her true brother rather than Dagur. That had been emotionally impactful knowing a notorious man was her brother, but now that reality was utterly shattered by a new one. Having been unable to think of some kind of reprieve from her thoughts any longer, she had packed her things once more and snuck off into the night. Windshear had made sounds of protest at being forced to leave but her rider's troubled state made her force them back and go along with Heather's thoughts of leaving. So, with their plans set in motion the two had quietly as possible slipped from Berk before taking off into an unknown direction before coming across the island that seemed in a constant state of autumn, being mountainous and offering a fair bit of cover. " That seems like a good spot Windshear," Heather gestured to a spot and her Razorwhip turned its slender neck to peer at a small alcove in the mountain side before veering towards it and landing on the ledge. It was big enough to fit two large dragons and handful of humans comfortably, which meant they wouldn't have an issue making up a camp here for a few days. Dismounting, Heather removed their needed supplies and headed in, taking a few hours to set everything up while Windshear had gone to make a hunting trip, catching food for herself first before bringing back some fish and a few choice small furry animals, being set in a drip they had found when looking around. By then, the young woman had set up a small sleeping spot, fire pit, and had their supplies aside but her weapons close at hand if something unexpected was to come their way. Windshear watched with concerned but watchful eyes as her rider made some final touches before she felt their space would handle a few days away. " Now what to do from here." Heather muttered as she placed some gathered firewood into the pit, stepping back to allow the metallic scaled dragon to light the fire before placing some fish on the spit to cook. It would be a little while before they would be ready but Heather was antsy and still not entirely ready to just sit there and Windshear seemed to share her sentiment before nudging her rider and looked to the entrance of the alcove. Heather picked up on Windshear's thoughts, standing from kneeling before the fire and strolling to the edge of the ledge, looking out at the autumn covered land. A thought struck her then and Heather pulled up her face cover as she turned to let only the balls of her feet teeter on the edge. With a look of mischief in her green eyes, the black haired Viking woman held out her arms before allowing herself to fall back to fall freely from the alcove. Roaring in surprise and worry, Windshear launched from the alcove ledge and dove after her rider, easily catching up as they went into a free fall. But a laugh actually left Heather and it seemed to calm her companion who now had a look of sheer excitement. They drew closer and closer to the ground before Windshear spun so her back was parallel to Heather and just mere feet above, she gripped the saddle and the dragoness leveled out with a spread of her wings and caught herself and her rider from hitting the ground without needing words to say anything needed for the act. From there, her flight became slow and lazy, Heather letting out a content sigh for the brief rush as she turned and flopped on her back, partly resting against Windshear's neck and partly on the saddle, never removing her face cover and just staring at the morning filled sky. Henretta had always been bad about sneaking off to find adventure or make up her own missions just to have an excuse to find new dragons or new islands. This day was one of those days, her and her deadly nadder were simply soaring over the clouds and ocean wine she peered down and spotted a glistening of metal scales, a razorwhip... however there wasn't a rider on said dragon, and according to rumors in the edge there was only one person that could be. ... Henry was pretty sure her name was Heather, but she, as walkways, wanted to find out herself. She was pretty high above the other rider, squinting her eyes as she tried to get a better look from above, suddenly slipping off the saddle, letting out a joyous Howl as she fell. Falling was something always fun to her, plus Gummy was already going into a dive to catch her. She barreled past the other rider, the nadder in close pursuit, catching her and flying up beside the other rider with an irritated growl, Henry laughed miniacly as always, adjusting the goggles on her face as she tilted he rhead at Henry, "Sorry to drop in unannounced," She said with a snort in her laugh, not a care in the world, "I was flying overhead and saw you, you're Heather right?"
Henry smiled warmly at her, petting her dragon's head as she sat up straight, "I'm Henretta, but I prefer to be called Henry."

Initially, Heather hadn't noticed the deadly nadder and their rider, simply being content to stare up at the dark sky. Such a sight was strangely calming, and Windshear seemed content to just soar around the area for a while, the two seeming to find little care to bring up troubled thoughts once more. But as they flew Windshear gave a puzzled look, seeming to glance around as she heard a strange sound that her rider also picked up, Heather leaning up slightly on her elbows as they seemed to be trying to figure out where that howl was coming from. It certainly couldn't be a dragon, it sounded too...odd to be one. Another creature perhaps?
Though, as they shared a confused glance the sudden appearance of Henry barreling pass, her nadder close behind, caused Windshear to snarl in surprise and anger, shooting forward and circling around to where the two had gone. Heather sat reverse in the saddle, her dragon scale dagger already in hand as she half expected trouble until the nadder returned, the seeming thrill seeking rider upon her back and inquiring about who she was. "Unannounced is a good way of putting it." Heather agreed, relaxing slightly when seeing no signs Henry was being hostile, nor her dragon, causing Heather to put the dagger back at her side. "And yea I'm Heather, and this is Windshear." She confirmed, a little surprised at first.
But, it soon dawned on her how Henry might know them. "Suppose you're one of the new riders on the edge then Henry? I know Hiccup mentioned Berk and the academy were growing, and already met a young boy named Sean." Heather asked, turning to sit correctly in the saddle as Windshear hovered, still glaring down at the smaller dragon in annoyance for the sudden appearance. Tags: Henretta Choi

Henretta didn't seem to care that Heather was tucking away a weapon, or that her dragon was looking grumpy. Of course she noticed, she was rather observant, but that didn't mean she would respond to it. Gummy grumbled, complaining about his rider doing dangerous stunts like that. When Heather assumed where she was from the brunett beamed, putting her hands on her hips, "Yep! I haven't been one long, and I think more riders are coming in still. The Edge will become like a second Berk at this rate~" Henry chimed and peeked over the head of her dragon to smile down at Windsheer, she hadn't ever seen a razorwhip up close before, how exciting~! "So, what are you two doing out here? I saw a camping site a little ways back, must be yours?" WORDS ● TAGGED ● NOTES

"So I've heard. And I agree, this keeps growing like it is the Edge will be it's on rider village." Heather chuckled from behind her face cover, having already guessed that by now. Dragon's Edge was growing exceptionally quick, maybe more so in the past year or two since she had been there. To see it growing though certainly brought a sense of pride since Dragon's Edge had once been so barren and seemed...small, even with give or six riders on it. The island had gone from nothing to gradually changing into more of a village and Outpost like it should have been.
Glancing back behind her, Heather gave a slight nod, "Yea that's ours." Once more she exchanged a glance with Windshear, the dragon giving a soft snort as her rider sighed. "I just...had to get away from Berk for a little while. A lot of things have happened that's been kinda overwhelming lately."

Henretta hummed in thought and understanding when Heather spoke of wanting to clear her head. "It seems everyone's being super stressed lately." She put her hands behind her head and laid back against her dragon's head, sitting backwards on her saddle now. Her dragon seemed to have a nervous look, glancing behind his head at his rider as if she might slip again, or jump even. "I know some people's problems are bigger than others, someone could be upset that they can't catch a fish, or someone could be upset because they're about to be eaten by a sea monster." She said casually, shrugging with a peaceful smile as she put her goggles up on her forehead and closed her eyes, "People call me crazy for always being care-free, and going with the flow. I'd rather be crazy than deal with problems though." She breathed out a soft laugh, glancing to Heather with one eye open, "I'm not nosy so I won't ask what's biting your bait bucket, but I can tell it's something deep and personal- if you'd come all the way out here to get it off your mind." "Guess it's just been rather crazy around Berk lately, more so than usual." Those words coming out of her mouth couldn't be stranger, considering that Berk was already prone to craziness. Dragon attacks, skirmishes, and weird occurrences were all something that happened to Berk of all places. She couldn't help feeling strange about the whole thing in general, feeling unsettled by the discovery but guilty for the abruptness of her leave and change in attitude. It was something she wasn't trying to put off on anyone else, knowing the less involved in the family drama the less people might get hurt and feel a need to intervene with things.
She looked back an Henry, giving a slight smile as she pulled down the face cover, "Everyone has their ways of handling their problems. Wish I had your carefree nature Henry, maybe life would be hel of a lot easier." Heather admitted before giving a soft grin. "Why don't you and your nadder join us for a bit? We have plenty of fish to share. And well, we're not going anywhere any time soon." Heather offered as Windshear gave a soft growl of amusement seeing the nadder's nervous look. Tags: Henretta Choi

Henretta smiled as Heather made the offer, thinking about it for a moment, of course she was quick to decide. Getting break from Berk in the edge on an island where there could be more dragons, as well as someone who didn't mind her company? "Yeah sure!" She stood up, stretching and dusting off her shirt. Gummy gave a few warning growls, trying to fly steady as possible as to prevent her from jumping or falling.

"Right this way then." Heather said with a slight grin of her own, looking back towards Windshear as an indication they could return. Giving a soft hiss in response, the Razorwhip flew forward before looping backwards and twisting as she flew the opposite direction, backtracking towards their set up camp. It took only but a few minutes for them to return to the alcove, Windshear landing on the ledge outside while Heather dismounted, taking a moment to remove her companion's saddle so she could be more comfortable. From inside, the smell of cooked fish permeated the spot, a sign that dinner was just about ready.

Henretta followed the woman back by having Gummy loop, following behind the woman and sliding off her dragon, the smell of food peaking the young woman's nose and curiosity, Gummy less so, as her dragon preferred to fish on his own. "So stubborn and picky." She teased him, and her dragon snorted, unamused. Henry stretched and walked closer to the razorwhip, "You have quite the beautiful dragon. Windsheer, correct?" She asked as she adjusted her goggles. WORDS ● TAGGED ● NOTES

Heather chuckled at the nadder's pickiness, knowing some dragons were somewhat picky on what they ate or how they ate their food. She gave a side glance towards Windshear who merely rolled her eyes before snatching a fish from the pile they had and beginning to eat her own meal. "Yes it is, Razorwhip who can give Stormfly a run for her fish." Heather joked, but there was a fair bit of pride knowing she had trained Windshear well and hard, "Your dragon looks amazing too. What do you call him?" She inquired curiously as she sat on one of the makeshift rocky chairs, picking up a fish from the fire.

Henry hummed and pat the nadder's head, "His name is Gummy. Had him since I was five... we'll can't say I had him really. More like I was stuck with him and we stayed together~" He crooned at that, leading against her pats as she picked up a fish from the fire as well. "It's a real long story, maybe one day I'll tell people about it." Was her hint that she had a little adventure to share, but honestly she didn't like letting people know, she liked to be mysterious... and not dwell on the things she did either. "That's a long time to have him. But no need to go into the details." Heather smiled a bit, glancing towards Windshear who made an affectionate croon before eating another fish, seeming to be relaxed. Luckily, the other riders had worked to help improve the Razorwhip's manners so she wasn't too concerned that a strange dragon might be a problem for her long time companion. Heather herself took a few bites of her fish, gulping them down and realizing how hungry she really was, "But what does bring you all the way out here? I wasn't exactly expecting anyone else from Berk to be this far." She asked, now getting to her own curiosity to why the other woman was here.

Henry shrugged as the woman asked about what she was doing, taking a bite of her food as Gummy plopped down beside her, head in her lap. "Well Gustav and my other friends all seemed busy cooking or cleaning or doing whatever's they do so I thought I'd go find adventure myself, then I spotted you cam couldn't help but drop in~" WORDS ● TAGGED ● NOTES

"Guess everyone is a little busy with something." Heather agreed, carefully biting around the bones of the fish as she ate before considering what Henry had done before. Once more a grin formed on her face, "I like your style Henry. Maybe we can drop in on people sometime." Heather's playfully wicked grin showed, obviously already imagining the chaos that could follow and chuckling as Windshear shot her an unamused look. "Like you wouldn't want to join in that girl." She gave her a reassuring scratch on the side, helping the Razorwhip to relax somewhat and curl up behind her rider.
