For a Viking it's almost impossible to live normally. You can't walk. Can't fight. Can't explore. For a child being born this way it's even worse. You get tired of people carrying you around everywhere all the time. Finnian, (Finny) is almost unable to even leave his home, sitting around all day playing pretend and drawing from the spot he was sat up in. The times he gets to leave are when his father piggybacks him around for a small time, and he's returned to the prison he calls home once again. Through the window on occasion he'll see riders on dragons, flying around happily. Watching riders pass is one of his favorite hobbies, and he wishes that he too could enjoy that life.
